Safe Return to Campus

Hello Marshall students!

I look forward to seeing you in person on August 16.

  • Drive through textbook and device pick up will be August 9-13 (click here for details)
  • To confirm what the news media has reported, all students (and staff) must be COVID-19 tested before school starts, regardless of whether the person has been vaccinated.
  • We have three options to be tested:
  1. At Marshall H.S. on Monday, August 2 and Monday, August 9 from 8:00 to 2:30 p.m. The testing unit will be set up between the Main Building and the Auditorium. No appointment is needed. Students who were tested on campus last semester or the summer may be tested without a parent/guardian present.  Students who did not test previously on campus, must have a parent/guardian with them at the testing location.
  2. At other regional sites across the District.  A flyer with testing locations is located in the links to the right   It is my understanding that an appointment needs to be made.
  3. The student's doctor or other testing location such as CVS pharmacies, city and county locations, etc.  If the test is taken at a non-District site, the test results must be uploaded to the District Daily Pass.

We will begin school with a regular schedule with 6 periods a day on August 16.  If you would rather learn this semester on-line, please register today for the LAUSD City of Angels on-line program.  Information is available on the school and district website, cityofangelsschool.org, or by calling 213 443 1300.  Students may return to Marshall at the end of the semester or next August.

Thank you,

Dr. Garcia, Principal
